Over would be 3 years USFL which of course wanted to be a direct rival of the NFL and spent themselves into bankruptcy luring top talent. The Under is 1 yr the XFL which was just a bad product.

This league will have a new angle in that they will only hire players that have a college degree and plan on playing their games in college towns. Hope to get those football fans mostly college who need a football fix while waiting for next season.

So it comes down to this will a spring/summer football league made up of players who would have not had much of a shot in the NFL grab your attention by playing up the local college atmosphere in a pro game?
CORRECTION: where so many others failed.
One other detail when ever possible the AAFL will try to have their teams made up the former college players. So a team based in Gainesville will have a large % of former Gator players, but no former Seminoles.

ESPN never broadcasts soccer so I have to watch it on the Spanish channel which is annoying cause I don’t speak Spanish. Personally I think ESPN should broadcast soccer games instead of NASCAR, golf, hockey, and women’s college basketball, and they should show more soccer highlights on sportscenter. What do you think?
